Aromatherapy is a popular practice that uses oils taken from plants, flowers, roots, and seeds to aid in healing. The aroma itself is not what heals; it is called this because of the aroma from the items used in healing. Many times these oils are used with massage or even put in drinks like tea to use their healing powers. Some people even use some of these herbs in cooking for their healing powers.

These essential oils are believed by many to have healing powers. Oils such as Bergamot, Cedarwood and Lavender can be used in the treatment of anxiety or for someone just feeling down by adding 10 drops of the oils above into a warm bath. Rest and relax in the aroma and soothing bath for at least 15 minutes. You can also drop these oils into a bowl and use use them for a body message.

If you find yourself feeling lonely, you can use 10 drops of majoram in your bath. To help ease your asthma, you can use Clary sage, frankincense and lavender.

You must always remember that aromatherapy healing does not and should never replace any medications that your doctor prescribes to you for the treatment of your ailments.
