Have you ever felt like you have completed a certain activity before or been to a certain place when the reality is that you have not? Déjà vu is defined as the feeling of having experienced or seen something before. Millions of individuals claim to have had at least one déjà vu experience before. With a high number of déjà vu believers there are many people who want to learn more.
A feeling of déjà vu can happen at just about anytime. It is not uncommon for the feeling to come about when traveling, meeting with friends, or hearing news reports. Many people report the feeling of déjà vu when they are traveling to a new area. Even though they have never been in the area before, there is something about the surroundings that makes it seem as if they have been there before.

It has been said that déjà vu affects individuals of all ages, but teenagers and young adults are more susceptible to the feeling. Many scientists and physicians have reported that individuals between the ages of fifteen and twenty-five are the most likely to experience déjà vu. At the current time, there is debate on why one experiences déjà vu.
Scientists, physicians, and other healthcare professional have been examining déjà vu. Their goal is to determine if the feeling is for real, why it exists, and what causes it. Different professionals have different thoughts on the subject. It has been said that the feeling of déjà vu exists because of the imagination, a health condition, or reincarnation.
A connection has been established between epilepsy and déjà vu; however, it does not occur in all cases. Many in cases, individuals having a temporal-lobe epileptic attack experienced déjà vu. Epilepsy is one of the few medical conditions that have been connection to déjà vu. What is hard to understand is why it only happens to some people. Not all individuals experience déjà vu during an epileptic attack and others experience déjà vu without having this medical condition.
Reincarnation is the belief that an individual is reborn after death. It is believed that those who are reincarnated are given a new body. Even though they are now living a new life, there are a many who believe that it is possible to remember or have glimpses of their past life. This is why many individuals believe that déjà vu is related to reincarnation. The connection between déjà vu and reincarnation is one that has many skeptics, including many medical professionals.
It is difficult to pinpoint an exact cause for déjà vu. This has caused a number of individuals to wonder if déjà vu is all in one’s imagination or dreams. Most individuals report that they are not able to remember their dreams; however, many healthcare professionals believe dreams are stored deep within the memory. This is a highly debatable, but popular theory surrounding the cause of déjà vu.
As previously mentioned, having a déjà vu experience is something that many individuals have at least once in their life. In most cases, déjà vu is not a life changing experience, but it will make you stop in think. It is not uncommon for someone to spending hours, even days, wondering if their déjà vu was for real or only a figment of their imagination.
