Ty Pennington
Ty Pennington was born Tygert Bruton Pennington on October 19, 1965 in Atlanta Georgia. He was raised in Atlanta and after graduating from high school attended Kennesaw College for Art and History, then The Atlanta Art Institute and Atlanta College of Art. He supported himself by doing carpentry work during the day.
Pennington, the team leader on Extreme Makeover, Home Edition, got his start on the TV show, Trading Places. His first book, "Ty's Tricks", published in 2003, was on the New York Times Best Seller List. He signed an exclusive multi-year contract with Sears as an ambassador for their American Dream Campaign.
Ty Pennington was one of People Magazine's Top 50 Bachelors in 2002, has modeled for various clothing companies and appeared in TV commercials. Currently living in Los Angeles, he sings, plays guitar and indulges in his boyhood passions of surfing, skateboarding and playing soccer.
