Pat Sajak

Pat Sajak, The host of the long running television game show, Wheel of Fortune, was born October 26, 1946 in Chicago Illinois. He is the oldest of three brothers. He attended Farragut High School and Columbia College, leaving after three years.

In 1968 Sajak joint the US Army and was sent to Vietnam where he was a D-Jay on Armed Forces Radio. After his discharge he worked in Nashville, where he was spotted by KNBC TVin Los Angeles and joined the station as the weatherman.

Merv Griffin offered Sajak the Wheel of Fortune job in 1981. He took over from Chuck Wollery as host of the popular show. His foray into the late night talk show arena on CBS in 1989 did not turn out too well; he is however a frequent guest host on CNN's Larry King Live. He has received three Emmys, a People's Choice Award and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He is an External Director of the conservative publishing house Regency, on the Board of Trustees of Hillsdale College and served on the Board of Directors for the Clairmont Institute.

Married with 2 children, he is host of the syndicated radio show, Pat Sajak Baseball Hour. He is also one of the 12 venture investors in the Golden Baseball League which begins its first season May 26, 2005 in seven California and Arizona communities.
