Dale Earnhardt Jr
Dale Earnhardt Jr Ralph Dale Earnhardt, Jr., son of the legendary race car driver Dale Earnhardt was born October 10, 1974 in Concord, North Carolina.
Called "Little E" by his friends, being the son of the Intimidator, did not guarantee immediate entry to the race car circuit, he started at the bottom. He took a two year automotive degree and worked as a mechanic in his father Chevy dealership.
At age 17, Jr. began racing in the Street Stock division at Concord Speedway. Two years later he moved up to NASCAR Late Model Stock Division. In 1996, he was in the NASCAR Grand Nationals where he won 13 races and 2 series championships. He became the first rookie to win NASCAR's All Star Race at Loew's Motor Speedway. In the 2000 season he moved up to the Winston Cup series.
His father, Dale, Sr. was killed on impact on the last lap of the 2001 Daytona 500. Dale, Jr. finished second in the race.
Currently single, he lives in Mooresville North Carolina. His good looks have helped his media exposure, and he has expressed an interest in pursuing an acting career.
