Greta Scacchi
Greta Scacchi, was born in Milan, Italy February 18, 1960. Her mother was an English dancer and her father an Italian painter. Her early childhood was spent in Milan and London. In 1975 her parents moved to Australia where Greta worked as a cowgirl and an Italian interpreter.
At age 18, she returned to London and took acting lessons at the Old Vic Theatre. There Greta Scacchi was discovered by young film maker Dominik Graf, and her first film was the German movie Zwiete Gesicht Das in 1982. For this film she learned the German language.
Greta played parts for Australian and English TV and was discovered by Hollywood in 1998.
She is divorced from actor Vincent D'Onofrio and has one child.
