Celtic Astrology - A New Way of Thinking
Celtic Astrology is based upon the Celtic Lunar Calendar. This calendar marked the period from " Dark Moon" to "Dark Moon" as a month. The calendar was designed to accommodate a 5-year period including two extra months called either Mid-Samonios or Mid-Giamonios depending upon whether the cycle started at the beginning of the 5 year period, or midway through the period.

Celtic Zodiac
The Celtic Zodiac is based upon a 13 month lunar calendar with each month having a particular tree assigned to it. These trees are your birth sign. Like other astrology practices, each tree profile assigns specific personality traits to the person being born under that sign. In addition to the primary sign for the birth month, the Celts divided each month into three parts or "decans". Each decan represents 10 degrees, and each of those three sections are ruled by another sign. This unusual division of signs enabled Celtic astrologers to create more in-depth charts. As a result of this practice, many scholars say that Celtic Astrology parallels some of the teachings of the Hindu or Indian Verdic Astrology.
